Italian Alps Bike Ride for Aud Med The Gran Fondo Marco Pantani bike ride is a gruelling challenge cycling over the Italian Alps. The route covers 175km, with 15,000ft of climbing, most notably over the famous Gavia and Mortirolo Passes. Hamza Zahid, based in Saudi Arabia, is taking part in this race to raise money for Aud Med. Hamza writes 'I've been wanting to do a bike race for some time, as its been 2 yrs since my last race, and figured it would be great to get my family and friends involved by doing it for a charity. The reason I chose AUD-MED is because I thought it would be great to raise the awareness amongst the people I know about hearing impairment.' Hamza is currently in training, and we will be keeping the website up to date with his progress. the race is on 28th June 2009. Good luck Hamza from all at Aud Med.
