News summary

The AUMED Trust is an active charity, which has been busy with 3 events this year already:

Firstly on 11th March there was the charity performance of the Merry Wives of Windsor by William Shakespeare. This was held at the Theatre Royal, Ramsbottom and was performed by Summerseat Players. The play was of the usual high standard and a light hearted comedy. It raised £760 for the AUMED Trust.

Our next event was 11th April when Naomi Lyons ran the Greater Manchester Marathon for the AUDMED Trust. The day was fine and sunny and not too hot. This was Naomi’s first marathon, which she completed without stopping and without walking in 5 hours 2 minutes and 13 seconds. She raised £1200 for the AUDMED Trust.

The most recent event was 22nd April and was Bolton Lever Rotary Club Charity Concert. The theme was music through the decades, which was performed by Greater Manchester Police Big Band and Young Vocalist Hannah Crerar – Royal College of Music, London.

We hold several charity event throughout the year.

The AUDMED Trust donates equipment. It funded audiology courses via its fund, the Grand Fondo, which is now closed. It held an ENT training day on audiology for ENT surgeons.
