Bollywood Extravaganza, Saturday 17th September 2016

On the 17th September 2016, a charity event was held in Wirral to raise funds for Aud-m-Ed. The event was organised by Shankar and Rama Rangan and the theme was Bollywood. The ticket sales were very encouraging. There were about 170 tickets sold and along with the participants who performed that evening and helpers we had around 180 people attending that evening.

The evening started with a few Bollywood dances performed by Anusha Rangan and ladies of the Wirral. It was followed by the live band that performed some lively old Bollywood numbers to which the guests were invited to the dance floor. Some moves were taught to them and soon the floor was filled to the tapping heels of the crowd in their colourful Bollywood attire.

A few games including Champagne square, quiz, auctions and a raffle helped us raise money for the charity. There was also henna painting and ear rings sale to add to the funds. The evening managed to raise almost £2200 in all!

The food was well appreciated and the feedback from the guests was positive with requests for the information for the next charity event!
